Oils For Every System
Essential oils are not drugs, but they are like drugs in that, what works for one person may not work well for another.  Also, depending on what is going on with that system, one oil might be more effective than another.

Easy to use apps and books are what we all use when we are looking for an a solution, however, they are not all reputable! Please contact me if you'd like suggestions on trusted books, apps or sites. This post will give you a good overview of oils that may help you and will help you feel confident trying things.

Oils For Every System  

Cardiovascular/Circulatory System:
Help your heart and circulatory system do their job so your whole body can function at it's best.
  • Lavender - Supports healthy blood pressure and circulation.1 "When lavender oil is inhaled for 10 min, there is an increase in blood flow rate and a decrease in galvanic skin conduction and systolic blood pressure (indicating a reduction in sympathetic nerve activity"2 Typically dilution is not needed but testing first is a good idea. Also great for diffusing and, as mentioned above, our Vitality oils are ingestible.
  • Helichrysum -  May help manage blood pressure.3
  • Peppermint - Helps athletes.4
  • NingXia Red - A Powerful antioxidant. Drink straight or mix with sparkling water for a refreshing mocktail and pick me up! We use wolfberries from NingXia China because they are the most potent of all goji berries. "...Goji berries have shown multiple pharmacological activities, including anti-aging, antioxidative, anti-fatigue, anticancer, anti-diabetic, anti-viral, hepatoprotective, cardioprotective, neuroprotective, hypolipidemic, radioprotective, anti-osteoporosis, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulating effects."5
Digestive System: 
Support your stomach, intestines, liver, colon and the rest of your digestive system so you can savor your meals more every day.
  • Digize Vitality - great for everything from queasiness, to irregularity to everyday digestion issues. A few drops in water or in a capsule works wonders. Contains: Tarragon6 7, Peppermint8, Ginger9, Juniper10, Fennel11, Lemongrass12, Anise13, Patchouli14 EOs.
  • Peppermint - One drop in your water makes it refreshing and helps digestion. For topical use, dilute with an organic carrier oil. Adding a few drops of Peppermint15 to Digize make it a more pleasant aroma. This combo is great for massaging into tummies.
Endocrine (Hormones) and Reproductive System:
Hormonal and organ support for both women and men can help make life happier! When our hormones are out of balance, emotions can rule us, our appetites can be out of control, metabolism messed up, etc. Our hormones affect almost every part of our bodies and our lives.  
  • Lavender - Helps calm a worried mind and relax a tense body and reduce discomfort at that time of the month16. Diffuse, use topically or a toothpick drop of Vitality Lavender in a latte is divine. A little goes a looong way!
  • Rosemary - "These findings clarify that lavender and rosemary enhance FRSA and decrease the stress hormone, cortisol, which protects the body from oxidative stress."17
  • Geranium - Helpful for PMS symptoms and may help control blood flow.18
  • Peppermint - Modifies body temperature. A drop at the base of the skull and behind the ears can help you feel better quickly when your body temp rises suddenly due to hormones. Dilution with a carrier oil may be preferred. If you tend to overheat often, create a roller ball and carry it with you everywhere you go. You’ll smell minty fresh and save yourself from embarrassing moments.
Immune System:
Fortify your body's defense mechanism against the challenges of everyday life. This system includes our white blood cells, bone marrow, lymph nodes, appendix, and more.
  • Thieves Vitality - Helps you be & stay well! Diffuse when nasty germs are in the air. Dilute and massage over neck, throat and torso, or put a drop or two in your tea.19
  • Lemon Vitality - Makes your water taste good, boosts your immune system, and helps digestion. Do not use on skin if you will be in the sun.20
  • Geranium & Lemon combo - If you want to build your immune system because you're worried about the new strains that have recently emergedNIH has published research about Lemon and Geranium Essential Oils. If you're not keen on reading medical literature, just read the last sentence in the abstract. It starts with,  "The results suggest. . ." 
Integumentary System (Skin, Hair, Nails):
Your Skin is one of your largest organs and can absorb substances within 26 seconds.
  • Helichrysum - A great oil when you don't want the scarring reminder of a wound or when your fascia is acting up. Helichrysum helps normalise the tissue and reduces the lumps and/or tightening.21
  • Frankincense -  A gentle oil that can be used neat (without dilution), but always check for sensitivity first. From blemishes, to the scariest of spots, Frankincense is a powerhouse for skin imperfections. 
  • Lavender - A gentle oil that soothes skin when you’ve sunbathed a little too long or you accidentally grabbed a cookie sheet that just came out of the oven. Every kitchen should be stocked with a bottle of lavender. Also great for an owie and can help it not turn into something worse. 
  • Sandalwood - Used since ancient times for anti-aging, it is now known to improve many serious skin conditions.22
Muscular and Skeletal System:
Support for your bones, muscles, cartilage, ligaments, joints, and connective tissue. This system provides body support during movements and stability.
  • Frankincense - "Boswellia extract was among the standouts, providing significant short-term relief for knee, hip and hand pain. The Natural and Alternative Treatments database, which contains over 12,000 clinical studies, also gives Boswellia high marks for OA pain relief." -arthristis.org.  It's a gentle oil that can be used neat (without dilution), but you may wish to check for sensitivity first. It is also used aromatically and comes in our ingestible Vitality line.
  • PanAway - Massage into the areas bothering you for quick relief. This oil is just missing the “i” in it’s name Pa_nAway. 
  • CBD Muscle Rub - While fairly new on the scene, it's proving itself to be a frontrunner for athletes and anyone who suffering from bone, joint or skeletal issues.23
Nervous System:
Your nervous system relays information from your muscles, skin, and organs to your brain. Giving your brain a little extra attention helps calm your nerves, lift your mood, helps you sleep, helps you concentrate, and avoid feelings of fight or flight.
  • Frankincense - Diffuse or use topically. A gentle oil that can be used neat (without dilution), but check for sensitivity first.
  • Lavender - Great for relaxing and winding down before bedtime; add to bath or diffuse to create a calming, comforting environment.
Renal System:
There are some amazing testimonials from people we know whose kidney function changed drastically with the use of Essential Oils. 
  • Thieves - a great oil for when there is discomfort! 
  • NingXia Red - supports normal function of the bladder and kidneys and because it is a powerful antioxidant, it supports the immune system too! Robin used to be in doctor's offices getting antibiotics several times a year - since birth. A steady diet of NingXia Red has kept her well for years.

  • Raven - Diffuse or use topically. Contains these breath-of-life giving essential oils, Cinnamomum Camphora24, Lemon, Wintergreen, Peppermint, Eucalyptus Radiata25  
  • Peppermint - Diffuse or use topically. This is a potent oil. One drop goes a long way!26
  • Eucalyptus - Known to open restricted airways, clear mucus and prevent flare-ups.27
