DIYs for a Sparkly Clean Home WITHOUT the Toxins

It's spring!! And time to do that deep clean, but I know you care about your pets and family and don't want to have worry about their little paws1 absorbing chemical residue or your little one's2 hands and knees crawling on a freshly cleaned floor. Or, does your family abide by the 5 or 10 second rule - eating things off the floor?3

And it's not just them... I know it's hard to do, but consider yourself for a minute - inhaling cleaning solutions or touching them with your hands is bad news for your health.4,5  Not to mention your brain's health!6  Whether the toxins are ingested, absorbed through the skin or inhaled, your body systems are taxed. Clearly, the medical experts agree.

But can you trust a plant based cleaner? I knew of vets and physical therapy offices that were using what I use, Thieves Household Cleaner (THHC), but I must say, it made me SO happy when I saw a bottle of THHC on the front desk at my doctor's office!

Thieves® Household Cleaner (THHC) is a powerful and ultra-concentrated, plant-based solution that is strong enough to clean your kitchen counters, stove, floors and bathrooms, but is gentle on your skin and has no toxic vapors.

If you already use THHC, you love it! - right? Seriously - everyone that is on a mission to have a sparkly clean home without toxic chemicals loves THHC's strength, power and versatility - not to mention how good it smells!

TIPS FOR USING THIEVES HOUSEHOLD CLEANER

Thieves Household Cleaner has dilution suggestions on the bottle, but I like personal stories so I figure you might too. Here's mine...

I don't like clutter and wanted less stuff under my sink. Though there are several dilutions listed on the bottle, I prefer just two bottles under my sink - one at the strongest dilution for extra tough jobs and one at the weakest solution for glass, stainless steel and stone. The weakest solution,  works great on most things and saves you gobs of money but even at the strongest solution it's far far less expensive than what I used to buy!

I've found that some things, like stainless steel appliances and glass, are more difficult to clean when the dilution is too strong because it leaves streaks. But diluted properly, it is fantastic for cleaning a smear of butter off my stainless steel fridge or a dog's nose and paw prints off the glass of your French doors!! My house cleaner loves THCC and she started using it with other clients too. 👍🏼
One last thing before I share the DIYs, my favorite bottle is the bottle it comes in! So I make it into a spray bottle. Most people buy a glass spray bottle or PET plastic spray bottle to make their dilutions. I prefer to save the concentrate in another bottle and screw a spray nozzle directly onto the THHC bottle, then I circle with a sharpie which dilution is in the bottle. Ok, enough about me... you want those DIYs! Here ya go:

29 DIYs WITH THIEVES HOUSEHOLD CLEANER

You can make 29 cleaners with less than one bottle of Thieves Household Cleaner concentrate! Talk about a money saver!!  With 60-65 capfuls of the THHC in each 14.4 fl. oz bottle, you'll have plenty to spare even after making each of these solutions.
