HISTORICAL USES OF THYME
Thyme has been widely acknowledged as one of the most used herbs since as far back as ancient Egypt. Throughout history, tinctures, salves, and solutions made from Thyme leaves have been used as a
cure for poison, a pain reliever, and healing

When the Black Death hit, thyme was used in medicinal recipes.  In the Victorian Era, nurses would often
bandage wounds with a thyme solution.

The historical uses have been substantiated with modern research.1

HISTORICAL USES OF ORANGE
Citrus fruits and their peels have been used as medicine for thousands of years. Herbalists have used the rinds as medicine for numerous maladies throughout history.

For hundreds of years, herbalists have used citrus peel to
improve digestion, relieve intestinal gas and bloating, and resolve phlegm. This peel acts primarily on the digestive and respiratory systems.

Studies have shown orange to be beneficial for those who have fractured a bone as it helped them cope with the pain.2

Orange Vitality likely helps with intestinal bacteria balance according to one study.3

Orange is known to help people who suffer from worry, are overcome with grief, or just need a mood lifter. It's proven to reduce anxiety in women during labor.4

HISTORICAL USES OF CLOVE
By the 17th century clove was literally worth its weight in gold in Britain. The use of clove for dental hygiene dates back to 225 B.C. in ancient China and the ancient Romans considered it a prized possession.

Historically, Clove was used as an
antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, antispasmodic, antiviral, antiparasitic, analgesic, and stimulant making it a popular overall healer. It has been said to stimulate the mind, prevent nausea and diarrhea, ease coughs, aid in digestion, and has been used for malaria and cholera. Topical uses have included the treatment of acne, styes and sores.

HISTORICAL USES OF FRANKINCENSE RESIN
Frankincense is probably one of the most well-known aromatic plants of ancient history. Most people are familiar with it being one of the gifts brought to the Christ Child at His birth. It was also used in the temple when they burned incense - long before the birth of Christ.

Egyptian tradition says that Frankincense is “good from head to toe” and used to treat every conceivable ill known to man! Recorded as being an important medicinal plant in many ancient cultures, the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and Israelites all used Frankincense for cleansing and purifying after a baby was born as well as in their spiritual acts of worship.

Recently physicians have been using it for extreme fatigue.5 One article talks about the benefits of Frankincense for Inflammatory Diseases, Heart Disease, Asthma, Skin, Cancer, Tumors, Type 1 Diabetes, Oral Infections, Memory, and Fertility. It states, "The anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, anti-proliferative, antimicrobial, and analgesic effects of this gum resin can reduce inflammation and pain in the body and relieve the related symptoms of many diseases. The effect of frankincense is remarkable in increasing the number of dendritic segments and branching in the neuron cells of hippocampus, causing more synaptic connections in that area and, therefore, improvement of learning and memory."6
